BLOIS, Jul 5 (CP) - The German team T-Mobile reacted positively after Tuesday's Team Time Trial in the Tour de France. The 'Men in Magenta' finished in third position, behind Discovery Channel and CSC, but ahead of Liberty Seguros and Phonak.
T-Mobile Press Manager Luuc Eisenga told Cyclingpost.com that the team is happy about the way things went in the Time Trial. Asked what the general reaction at the team was, Eisenga answered: "Very positive. We rode well, and you can see that looking at the fact that Oscar Sevilla and Giuseppe Guerini arrived with their teammates."
Currently, the team's best-placed rider in the General classification is the Kazakh Alexandre Vinokourov, in 7th position at 1'21" from the Yellow Jersey. Jan Ullrich meanwhile, is to be found in 14th place at 1'36".
According to Eisenga, there is no reason at this moment, to change the team's strategy for the mountains: "Jan Ullrich remains captain in the mountains, that's clear. But Vinokourov does of course have a protected role."
