PERWEZ, Jul 29 (CP) - Predictor-Lotto rider Greg Van Avermaet has won the second stage in the Tour de la Région Wallonne. Meanwhile, Luis Pasamontes Rodriguez maintains the overall lead.

On Sunday, the riders faced a 156.9 kilometres long course between Saint Georges and Perwez. During the day, four riders were to be found up front but were caught in the final kilomers.

A bunch sprint would decide the second winner, and it was Van Avermaet who turned out to be the strongest. The Belgian beat Aurélien Clerc and Wouter Weylandt to take the victory.

Unibet.com's Pasamontes finished safely in the pack and continues to lead in the general classification
