BERLIN, Jul 5 (CP) - German television channels ARD and ZDF may have found an effective way to reduce doping in the peloton, as both consider boycotting the Tour de France if a new scandal is revealed in the coming weeks.

ARD director Thomas Baumann told the Hamburger Abendblatt about the idea: "Once a new scandal appears, we will talk to our colleagues at the ZDF and I believe that there's a good chance we will stop our live tranmissions.

"We can't be certain that we will be showing the Tour de France until the end," Baumann said.
