BERN, Jul 2 (CP) - Belgian Walter Godefroot will immediately leave Astana. This was announced by general manager Marc Biver in Der Tagesspiegel.

"Godefroot would help us to build the technical structures of the team. In the mean time, he did so. We don't need him anymore," Biver told the German news paper.

Recently, Jörg Jaksche accused Godefroot, claiming that the former Telekom manager was aware of a structured doping system inside the team. However, this would not have been of any influence according to Biver.
