PAMPLONA, Dec 20 (CP) - Spaniard José Cayetano Julia Cegarra did not get an extension at Caisse d'Epargne and decided to retire from cycling. The 27-year-old started his career in 2002 at Kelme-Costa Blanca and won a stage in the Vuelta a España in his third year as professional. This convinced Illes Balears to attract him. However after two years at the ProTour team he could not confirm and his contract was not extended, which made him quit the sport of cyling.
