Help and Rules

Learn how to use the game and read more about the game's rules.

How to get started?

After you register to our game, you will get access to our Predicting Page. To get there, just click on one of the races on the right side.

Using the instructions on that page, you should be able to easily select which riders you think will win the stages. Note that the page also includes a link to a website with more information about that particular race.

If at some point you change your mind about a prediction, you can replace it with a new prediction.

At 8am CET on the day the stage is to be ridden, predictions close. You will then no longer be able to submit a prediction.

Points

For each correctly predicted stage winner, you get 5 points. If the rider you predicted finishes in second place, you get four points. This goes on until a fifth place, where you would get 1 point.

This is different for one-day-races, where you can earn triple points: 15 for a correctly predicted winner, down to 3 points if your rider finishes in fifth place.

Rankings

There are several kinds of rankings. By clicking on the main 'ranking' button, in the upper right corner of your screen, you will find the current season's ranking. However, if you click on 'rankings' next to a race name, you will be taken to the ranking for that particular race. This is a good way to find out how you have been doing.

Teams

If you want to add excitement to your game experience, you could create or join a team. This can be a good way to compete with your friends. To join a team, another team admin needs to send you an invitation. You can also create a team. To do so, just click on the 'create team' link under 'game info'.

Rules (work in progress)

We will continue to update this section of the help page as the season progresses, as we might encounter new problems that need clear rules.

1. By registering and taking part, each member understands that a good behaviour is needed to keep it pleasant for all. Profile or team messages that do not comply with general social standards, will be removed and in particular cases, it might be decided to ban or remove the member.

2. Each member is allowed to use only one account. If a relative or housemate wants to play as well, an exception can be made. In that case, contact a game admin using the 'contact us' link at the bottom. We will then respond as soon as possible.

3. If two or more members share the lead at the end of a race or season, the amount of correctly predicted stage winners decides who will be the official Cyclingpost race winner. If all members involved have the same amount of correct stage winners, the amount of second places will be looked at. If the members earned their points in a similar manner (ie. both member A and member B earned 5 points in one stage, 3 in another and 2 in yet another stage, disregarding the order of how those points were earned), they will share the race victory.
