Cyclingpost.com

VALENCIA, Feb 25 (CP) - After a few months in which Cyclingpost.com has been mostly inactive, it is time to tell you, the loyal readers, about its plans.

Cyclingpost began as a small project in 2005, and has attracted thousands of cycling fanatics throughout the world since.

For us, those who created and/or maintained the site, it has been a great ride but one that had to come to an end, just like a real cycling ride.

A lack of time of most of the site's contributors, myself included, meant that it became difficult to keep updating the site the way it had been done in the last years.

Closing down the site didn't seem right either though, after all the effort that had been put into the project.

So we won't do that. Instead, we will use our prediction game - which was set up as Beta late last season, as a way to keep the site going. The game, along with the forum, will form the core of the site from now on. I plan to have the game running in a slightly improved manner before the start of Paris-Nice on March 9th. You'll be kept up to date!

But many of you will be thinking: "What about my news and results?!"

Well, there is hope. Two of Cyclingpost's core members, Sebastién Toussaint and Jeroen Michiels, have been working on a new project which is set to offer just that, and much more.

They are working hard to finish this new website as soon as they can, and Cyclingpost will be supporting them to become the next big cycling source on the web.

When the new site is ready, we will of course be telling you where to find it!
