KOOLSKAMP, Sep 21 (CP) - The 92nd edition of the Kampioenschap of Vlaanderen (Championship of Flanders) has been won by Australian Baden Cooke.
Cooke was the last remaining rider of the original lead group that dominated the Belgian race, but was joined by home rider Andy Cappelle in the finale.
The two sprinted for victory and Cooke, once known for his sprinting capabilities, defeated his rival to take the win.
In the peloton, it was Frenchman Denis Flahaut to win the sprint for third place.
