FOURMIES, Sep 16 (CP) - The French semi-classic Grand Prix de Fourmies has been won by Slovakian Peter Velits of Team Wiesenhof-Felt.
The race, which this year celebrated its 75th edition, is traditionally ridden on the day after Paris-Brussels.
Peter Velits took the victory ahead of Italian Daniele Nardello, who rides for Team LPR.
Australian Baden Cooke and another Italian, Manuel Quinziato, completed the top four.
