Clean Sports wristband

BRUSSELS, Jun 15 (CP) - The recently launched website Cleansports.com aims to improve the reputation of sports by eliminating matters such as violence, racism and doping.

Cleansports.com is an initiative of Belgian Willy Delabastita, a former radio and television host.

In a special presentation, Cleansports.com points out several problems in modern sports, such as a lack of fundamental principles, violence and racism, performance pressure leading to the use of forbidden substances and athlete ignorance when it is about the dangers of such products.

Cleansports.com's aim is to regain the confidence of fans in sports, by "promoting non-stop the Clean Sports philosophy" and "making continued efforts to inform young people that fairness and respect are the dominant sports values".

At the Cleansports.com website, athletes and fans are able to buy a special wristband.

Out of the sales of this wristband, donations will be made in order to support actions, in line with Clean Sports' goal.
