Wins for Flickinger and Brard in Sarthe

ANGERS, Apr 6 (CP) - Andy Flickinger was the strongest in the morning stage of the second day of the French Cirquit de la Sarthe, while Florent Brard was victorious in the following afternoon time trial. The morning stages was 92 kilometers long, from Varades to Angers. In the final sprint, Andy Flickinger won ahead of Fabio Borghesi and Pieter Mertens. In the time trial, Agritubel riders Florent Brard needed 10 minutes and 33 seconds to complete the 8,8km course. Sylvain Chavanel came in second, with two seconds more, and the third position was taken by Gerolsteiner's Marcus Fothen. Morning stage results: 1. Andy Flickinger (Fra-A2R) 2h06'31" 2.
