Jan Ullrich showed his skills in the 2006 season, winning the Tour de Suisse and an individual time trial in the Giro d'Italia. It would be a great Tour de France, but the German got excluded before the race had even started.
T-Mobile Team suspended the rider and his personal assistent Walter Godefroot. The latter restarted his career at Astana while Ullrich is still looking for a new team for next season.
