Isaac Gálvez murió durante los Seis Días de Gante (Belgica).

El corredor, que fue reanimado en el lugar del accidente, murió cuando estaba siendo trasladado al hospital universitario de Gante.

La caída se produjo sobre las 00:30 hora local, tras un choque con el corredor belga Dimitri De Fauw en la especialidad de madison.
